Al Onqood Joinery

We hired this carpentry company in 2024 to partially upgrade our kitchen. Initially, we agreed on a few specific items, including replacing the refrigerator doors and repainting some kitchen fronts. During the process, there were some quality issues, such as scratched “new” surfaces. (pictures provided) Although these issues were corrected afterwards, it did affect our overall confidence. Because of this, we decided not to proceed immediately with a complete kitchen renovation back at that time. More than a year later, we want to make a small additional upgrades by replacing only a few doors. Unfortunately, the company declined the request, stating that they only take on larger projects and not samples. We find this disappointing and somewhat unprofessional. When quality issues occur on smaller jobs, it is understandable that clients may hesitate to immediately commit to larger projects. Trust is often built over time, and many customers return only once they feel fully confident. This is an approach the management might want to reconsider, as long-term customer relationships are not always built through large contracts from the start, but through consistency, quality and flexibility.

Our contractor Cyana introduced us to Al Onqood. We mostly liaised with Amrit, and several other members of his carpentry team. We found the entire process very professional, helpful and the quality of work is outstanding. They worked with us over several weeks to fine tune our ideas and ensure we were completely satisfied with our end result, which exceeded all of our expectations. We are very happy with the outcome and would 100% wholeheartedly recommend and use their services again. Brilliant work.

If I could give more than 5 stars I would! Amrit and the team have been amazing to work with and given me the most dreamy wall-to-wall fitted cabinetry. Communication has been excellent. The quality and finish is amazing. And their prices in the market for custom carpentry are very competitive. I’m already booking them in for more work next year! One very happy customer!
