JAAN CONTRACTING & INTERIORS L.L.C

I hired JAAN to renovate a 2-bedroom Emaar apartment I had just purchased. My experience turned into a disaster on the very first day of works. Key facts: • The contract and work plan explicitly required site preparation and protection before any demolition. • The plan allocated 2 days for site preparation/protection (which was completely skipped) and 8 days for demolition (which was largely completed within a few hours). • When I arrived on site, I found demolition largely completed with no protection in place. Sharp and heavy debris was lying directly on the apartment tiles and next to completely unprotected veneer doors. • The site supervisor was present and allowed the works to proceed in this condition. I am the one who identified the issue on a surprise site visit and ordered the works to stop. • Workers were carrying out demolition works in casual streetwear and open-toed sandals. Following this incident, JAAN described it as a mistake. However, the issue was not that protection was installed incorrectly. Protection was not installed at all. JAAN then proposed to cancel the project. But when I accepted the cancellation, I was informed that AED 16,000 would be retained and that any partial refund would require signing a release agreement. I purchased this apartment with my life savings and hired a contractor to protect it, supervise the works, and follow the agreed methodology. Instead, on the first day, I found demolition carried out with none of the agreed protection measures, resulting in chipped and scratched tiles. JAAN then sought to retain AED 16,000 for the works shown in these photos. I will now pursuing legal action to recover my money and protect my rights.

Thank you JAAN for your amazing work and commitment. It has been such a great experience to have JAAN renovating my one-bedroom apartment in DIFC including kitchen remodeling, flooring tiles, and bathroom renovation. I highly recommend JAAN and working with them when considering any renovation of your property in Dubai.

Good afternoon, I hope you are doing well. I wanted to kindly check if your business is currently operational, as I have tried reaching you by phone but was unable to get through. I would appreciate your confirmation at your convenience and look forward to your reply. Thank you. Kind regards,
