Quoted as written. We did not pick the kindest ones — we picked the ones that say what happened.
⚠️ WARNING: My Experience with Interior by Square Yards / Interior Co.
Do not pay advances
D0 not rely on commitments or warranties.
The project was ultimately abandoned midway, warranties were never honored, and despite formal complaints to Dubai Economy, the company showed no accountability or intent to resolve the situation. My experience strongly suggests they operate in an extremely unprofessional, “fly-by-night” manner. I would strongly advise anyone considering them to think carefully before engaging.
The kitchen itself could not even last 90 days. Cabinets, fittings, and installations started failing almost immediately. When warranty support was requested, the company repeatedly made excuses, delayed responses, and demonstrated they had neither the capability nor the intention to honor their commitments. In the end, I had to repair and fix major portions myself at my own expense.
Before signing with them, ask them to disclose the actual completion status, timelines, and customer feedback for my Project . The project remains incomplete and effectively abandoned because they were unable to arrange materials, manpower, or proper supervision to finish the work.
My experience exposed a system focused more on selling a polished image than delivering professional interior execution.
Key Issues Faced:
• Management Failure
The project management was deeply misleading throughout. Commitments were routinely made with no intention or ability to fulfill them. Dates constantly shifted, communication lacked honesty, and accountability was non-existent.
• Unreliable Subcontractors
Despite presenting themselves as a premium “big brand,” most work is outsourced to third-party subcontractors with zero accountability or supervision. Workers treated the property carelessly, while management remained absent.
• Endless Delays & No Ownership
Timelines were meaningless. Every deadline was missed repeatedly, creating additional costs and disruptions for appliance installations, coordination, and move-in planning.
• Poor Design & Execution
There was complete disconnect between the design, procurement, and execution teams. Designs were impractical, measurements were inaccurate, and mistakes were casually blamed on “miscommunication” or “forgetfulness.”
• Manipulated Progress Updates
Progress photos were carefully framed to hide poor workmanship and incomplete areas. The actual on-site condition was drastically different from what was being communicated.
• Forced Material & Color Decisions
Requested materials and finishes were ignored multiple times. Instead, they proceeded with whatever was available and later presented it as a “finished” outcome, leaving no real choice for correction.
• Financial Red Flags
Large upfront payments were aggressively demanded, while the team itself appeared unclear about project specifics. Balance payments were pushed under the claim of “completion” even when major work remained unfinished.
• Inexperienced Execution Team
Several individuals involved lacked even basic professional competence in measurements, coordination, and execution. The focus appeared to be more on collecting 5-star ratings than delivering quality work.
The final outcome:
After months of constant follow-ups, partial deliveries, broken promises, and endless escalations, the project was effectively abandoned. Countertops remained incomplete, installations unfinished, and no reliable completion plan was ever provided.
Complaints and escalations to managers, senior leadership, and even Dubai Economy made no meaningful difference. There was no ownership, no accountability, and no professional resolution.
Do not be misled by glossy renders, edited Instagram reels, or marketing promises. My experience with Interior by Square Yards / Interior Co. was financially draining, mentally exhausting, and deeply disappointing.
Proceed with extreme caution.

I cannot recommend this company following a disastrous kitchen renovation in my apartment in Abu Dhabi. What began in November is still unfinished months later. After removing my original kitchen, the company pressured me into full payment before delivery, leaving me with little leverage when major issues arose.
Key Concerns:
- Safety Hazards: An electrical socket was installed directly above the hob, and the extractor hood was placed below head level.
- Poor Ergonomics: Despite my height, the countertop was installed at 83cm (well below the 90cm standard), making it uncomfortable for daily use.
- Design & Alignment: The cooker and hood are misaligned, and I have identified nearly 20 other defects in materials and execution.
- Lack of Accountability: Management claims the work matches "approved" technical drawings I was never shown and is now demanding additional payment to fix their mistakes.
As part of this situation, I contacted Consumer Protection in Dubai, and I was informed that multiple complaints have been raised against this company, which unfortunately reflects my own experience.
And of course, the mail that you see in the comment below is not answering (been 2 weeks...).
Save yourself the stress of dealing with this team. Look elsewhere for a professional contractor.

Would love to share our experience with SYIC investors ..
We did our villa interior with SYIC, and the outcome was something that I always wanted and imagined, simthing that matches our modern life style yet warm and beautiful to call it Home.
Very positive and satisfying experience.
What impressed us most was how carefully the team listened to our needs from the beginning. Our designer, Hima, took the time to sit with us, understand our lifestyle, discuss every design detail properly, and suggest beautiful ideas with real passion for redesigning our home. She was also very patient with our changes and made sure the final design reflected what we truly wanted.
Muskan, the Business Manager, was very supportive throughout the process. She followed up regularly, kept us updated, checked on timelines, and made sure everything was moving in the right direction. Ramana, the Project Manager, handled the site work smoothly and professionally.
The final outcome came very close to what was promised and more we are genuinely impressed with the result 🤍
Dear SYIC Team,Words cannot fully express our happiness and satisfaction with your work. Thank you for everything, and we wish you continued success.

Moved into Binghatti Trillionaire and thought the building itself was doing all the work. Then SYIC happened and now my apartment is lowkey competing with the building. Ameen handled everything on the business side without a single unnecessary email (a miracle).
Haseena designed a space that makes guests ask if I hired someone from Milan, I did not, she's just that good.
Joel & team ran ops so smoothly I genuinely forgot there was construction happening.
10/10 would let these three ruin every other interior standard for me.
Three Cheers to SYIC team ❤️

Happy with the overall outcome. The project went smoothly, we had to chase up a few things, but the team was responsive and worked through the issues. The kitchen and powder room have turned out great and the quality of the final finish is very good.
Glad we went ahead with the renovation.
